Hello, this is the Franklin Police Department calling to announce the annual winter parking ban became effective Nov. 15, 2008, and runs through April 15, 2009. No on street parking is permitted between the hours of 1am and 5 am. The purpose of the ban is to allow for snow removal and to assure public ways can be plowed without hindering the DPW. Under normal conditions, warnings are issued up to Dec. 1, 2008, then formal citations after that, including towing of vehicles found to be illegally parked when a storm occurs. In the event you have a disabled vehicle and need some consideration prior to removing it, please contact the Franklin Police Department at (508) 528-1212 and advise us of your problem.
